First Day of Rotations

Today we went to a school and did community service such as raking grass from a field, cleaning up a soccer field, and picking up trash. It was really fun to talk and play soccer with the students there, and they made us a meal which was very delicious. After that we took a bus to another resort which had a water slide. Then we went on a hike to rafting, and on the way our guide showed us owls and interesting plants. The rafting was really fun, and we got to swim in the water. We had an amazing day!

Today we went horseback riding to a waterfall. First we hiked to the upper falls and took photos of the waterfall. At the base of the waterfall, many of us took the thrilling opportunity to jump off a 20 foot cliff into the water.  After the waterfall, we rode the horses to the house of the owners of the property where we were served a delicious meal accompanied by an adorable cat and peacocks. After returning back to our hotel, we relaxed for a few hours, had some smoothie’s and played in the pool. Later in the afternoon our group learned the salsa and had dinner. Overall our trip is off to an amazing start.
